Tyson food has a long history of promoting from within, but its high-potential program had lost its edge, hindering its ability to develop qualified future executives. Tyson selected SVI to create a high-potential leadership program that helps its talent effectively and passionately lead through complex times.
SVI created a two-year program called LINC (Leaders Into Champions) that starts with a selection process to identify high-potential leaders based on Tyson’s established leadership principles. The program includes:
A 360-degree assessment.
The ADVANCE, a highly interactive two-day event during which participants focus on how their passions and abilities align with the mission and vision of Tyson.
Team development activities, interaction with inspiring and influential executives, challenging team-building events, action planning and tracking, stretch assignments and job rotations throughout the business.
LINCQuest, a two-and-a-half-day experiential event that challenges participants to identify and strategically leverage the strengths of a team. This event is designed to stretch teams by forcing participants to break habits that hinder teamwork and inspiring them to take a fresh look at what it means to be a part of a team.
