Tyson LINC (Leaders Into Champions)

Tyson Foods has a long history of promoting from within, but its high-potential program had lost its edge, hindering its ability to develop qualified future executives.  Tyson selected SVI to create a high-potential leadership program that helps its talent effectively and passionately lead through complex times.

SVI created a two-year program called LINC (Leaders Into Champions) that starts with a selection process to identify high-potential leaders based on Tyson’s established leadership principles.  The program includes:

  • A 360-degree assessment.
  • The ADVANCE, a highly interactive two-day event during which participants focus on how their passions and abilities align with the mission and vision of Tyson.
  • Team development activities, interaction with inspiring and influential executives, challenging team-building events, action planning and tracking, stretch assignments and job rotations throughout the business.
  • LINCQuest, a two-and-a-half-day experiential event that challenges participants to identify and strategically leverage the strengths of a team. This event is designed to stretch teams by forcing participants to break habits that hinder teamwork and inspiring them to take a fresh look at what it means to be a part of a team.
